Johannes Kempin, flute Johannes Kempin, was born in 1959, as a son of two musicians. He studied with
Prof. Klaus Sochow at the Stuttgart Academy of Music, where he graduated in 1983. Meanwhile, he took part in a European Youth Orchestra tour under Solti and Abbado and began playing in 1982 as solo flautist in the Flensburg Landestheater.Johannes Kempin continued his studies at the with Gertrud and Karlheinz Zoeller at the Hamburg and Berlin Music Academies. He received his artist's diploma in 1988. Kempin gave many recitals and recorded for several German radio stations. Until his immigration he subsituted in the Hamburg State Opera.
Since 1990, Johannes Kempin devides his time between Israel and Germany, playing in both countries, in particulary as a solo flautist at the Israel Sinfonietta. He performs in several chamber music ensembles, among which his ensemble with pianist Bart
Berman.
